Revision hints and tips
1. Don’t leave it until the last minute. Make a timetable for your revision. Give times in 1 hour slots, with the subject and sub-topic you will revise. Write down the days when you have to sit Exams. You may want to give some exams more study time than others, so find a balance that works for you. Plan times to relax.
Click here for an example of a revision plan. Beware of revising late at night when you are very tired. Your brain will not take in information very well.

2. Organise your study space and get rid of distractions Make sure you have enough space to spread your textbooks and notes out. Are your computer games and phone out of sight? Think about what works for you.

3. Know what you need to revise for each subject Revision is a beast. You need to know where to start. Use the checklist to show you what to revise for each subject.

4. Use the Effective Revision Cycleto make sure that you make revision interactive and practical.

5. Drink plenty of fluids and get enough sleep
As a final tip, remember that being well hydrated is essential for your brain to work at its best. Make sure you keep drinking plenty of water throughout your revision, and also on the exam day.
Good luck!
